Terms and privacy
Using LightningDB.
Account access, commercial arrangements, and how we handle the information you share with us.
Free downloads and commercial licenses
LightningDB Free for Linux is available at no charge from the download page, without an account or activation. Current downloads are release candidates. The source repository remains private.
Commercial editions, evaluation access, and support are arranged with the LightningDB team. The edition, hardware limits, license rights, and support you receive are defined in your license agreement or order.
The website does not currently provide self-service purchases or commercial license delivery. Contact us to arrange a commercial deployment. Existing customer agreements remain applicable.
Pricing and billing
Published plan prices are shown on the pricing page. Our team confirms the selected plan, billing period, and applicable taxes before a purchase. The account portal does not collect payment details or manage subscriptions.
Contact our team for invoices, receipts, or changes to your billing details.
Cancellations and refunds
Request a cancellation through our contact form. Subscription access continues until the end of the applicable billing period, subject to your agreement.
First-time purchases of self-hosted Pro and Pro+ include the published 14-day money-back guarantee for incompatibility with your server hardware, CPU instruction set, or host operating system. Contact our team within 14 calendar days of your initial purchase with your account and machine details.
Renewals after the initial refund window are non-refundable under the published subscription policy. Contact our team about duplicate charges or billing errors. Your signed agreement and applicable consumer rights govern your purchase.
Managed deployment and support
Managed cloud is onboarding through a waitlist. Availability, support, backups, data retention, and service-level commitments are confirmed in your agreement before deployment.
Your account information
Creating an account provides your name, email address, and optional company name. We store a salted password hash, encrypted authenticator information, hashed recovery codes, and server-side sessions. We use this information to provide and protect account access.
Cloudflare hosts the website and account database and provides bot protection. Resend delivers verification, sign-in, password-reset, and enquiry emails. Account data is encrypted at rest by Cloudflare; authenticator secrets and queued messages also receive application-level encryption.
Security controls use time-limited request counters derived from account identifiers and IP addresses. Verification and sign-in links expire and are single use. Emails necessarily include their recipient and message content when delivered through Resend.
Contact enquiries include the name, email, company, and message you submit. They are delivered to our team so we can reply. Do not include passwords, authenticator codes, payment-card details, or confidential graph data in an enquiry.
We do not sell your account or enquiry information. Contact our team to request account-data access or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. Retention and deletion may be subject to contractual or legal obligations.
Your self-hosted graph data is not uploaded by this website or account service. Any separate managed deployment is covered by its agreed data-processing terms.
